This year we took Jackson to the Memorial Day Parade for the first time. He was still in the NICU for his first Memorial Day and last year Mommy and Daddy opted to sleep-in instead of partaking in the patriotic festivities.
We were a little nervous to see how Jackson would react at the parade. He's sensitive to loud, unexpected noises so I was certain at some point either the marching band or a fire truck would startle him and make him cry. But, he did great! Grandpa and I sat on either side of him and covered his ears when the loud stuff went by.
The only thing that seemed to bother him was the LONG line of rumbling tractors. But, we're from the country and a mile-long stretch of John Deeres is to be expected. I'm sure he'll get used to it eventually. If not, we may have to look into getting him some headphones for him to wear during the times we know we'll be around loud stuff.
The parade was the highlight of our Memorial Day. We spend the rest of the day hanging out at home and playing with all of Jackson's new toys!
And one last picture to leave you with. This is one of my favorites. It was a selfie I took of Jax and I using my cellphone. He loves to play with my hair. So cute! <3

Precious, as always - thanks again for sharing!
